RTMS Echo Firmware v2.0 Release Notes


We have added some new features to the RTMS Echo Firmware version 2.0. 

This is a production release for the Echo product line and an optional upgrade for existing Echo sensors and changes made do not effect operation or functionality of existing sensors.



We implemented several security-related capabilities to ensure your network and information stays secure. The following have been implemented in accordance with the requirements of NEMA TS8-2018:

  • The ability to enable encryption of network traffic using HTTPS
  • Password protected access to the web interface with the option to require complex passwords
  • Require password change after initial login to the Echo web interface
  • Automatic logoff from the web application with configurable logoff period
  • Authenticated API

Loop Emulation via Contact Closures

We've added loop emulations via contact closures to the RTMS Echo. This feature converts the measured per-lane traffic flow statistics into loop equivalent outputs, allowing the information to be ingested by traffic controllers and other similar NEMA-compliant traffic equipment.

Single or Dual Loop Emulation

The system can emulate single or dual loops and has a configurable loop emulation size and trap spacing to ensure that the loop emulation signals can be calibrated to match the needs of your system.

External Contact Closure Module

We utilize an external, DIN rail mounted module with expandable outputs which reduces the cabling complexity of previous systems. This form factor allows you to use a single contact closure module to integrate multiple RTMS Echo detectors with a single traffic controller - further reducing the amount of wiring required to support this configuration.
