Saint Paul, Minn., February 20, 2001 - Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ/Small Cap: ISNS) announced today that it has received an order for Autoscope Solo Pro™ video vehicle detection units from its exclusive Italian distributor, Self-Sime S.r.l. for delivery to the City of Messina, Italy during 2001. More than 100 Solo Pro units will be deployed within the City.
Autoscope Solo Pro will play a major role of an Internet-based TCP/IP networked traffic management system interfacing with Intelligent Traffic Controllers designed and manufactured by Self-Sime S.r.l. The Autoscope video vehicle detection system will perform fully-actuated intersection detection and traffic data collection functions, and assist with long-range traffic management planning. Autoscope Solo Pro is the only video vehicle detection system able to provide operating software in nineteen languages, including Italian, and its IP addressable self-configuring network makes it ideally suited for area wide systems.
