Saint Paul, Minn., November 1, 2000 - Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (ISS) (Nasdaq SmallCap: ISNS) announced today that it has released Autoscope Solo® Pro, its latest product in the Autoscope® product family, the global machine vision market leader for 11 years.

Autoscope Solo Pro integrates a high-resolution color camera, zoom lens and machine vision processor into a single compact unit, featuring direct real-time iris and shutter speed controls. The new camera is available in both NTSC and PAL video formats, and provides JPEG video compression and analog video outputs for real-time color video surveillance capability. Autoscope Solo Pro has the capability for up to 256 zones of detection for an eight-camera system. Able to support fully networked traffic management systems, each Autoscope Solo Pro provides automatically configurable IP addressability. Autoscope Solo Pro now features enforcement- level speed detection accuracy and enhanced filtering of moving and static artifacts to provide superior count detection accuracy during challenging environmental or lighting conditions.

To make the job of the traffic engineers across the globe easier and more effective, Image Sensing Systems also introduces a new graphical user interface in multiple languages for not only the new Autoscope Solo Pro, but for the existing Autoscope Solo. Operating software is immediately available in English, Chinese, Greek, Spanish and Thai, with French, German, Italian and Norwegian expected for release by January 1, 2001.

Based upon the Image Sensing Systems’ 17 years of development and market experience, Autoscope is the first video vehicle detection provider to provide a standard two-year factory warranty, plus the availability (at the time of initial system purchase) of a five-year extended warranty package on the Autoscope Solo Pro and operating software.
