Saint Paul, Minn., August 2, 2000 - Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (ISS) (Nasdaq SmallCap: ISNS) announced today that it has formed an exclusive global alliance with privately held Wireless Technology, Inc. (WTI) of Ventura, California for the sale of products and systems that transmit wireless full-motion video, audio and data for the ITS (intelligent transportation systems), traffic management, enforcement and security markets. Both firms will jointly develop an array of products complimentary to the ISS Autoscope® video vehicle detection system and the next generation of video detection systems.
Wireless Technology, Inc. a pioneer in patented over-the-air 900 MHz, 2.8 GHZ and 5.8 GHz FM wireless video transmission and point-to-point control has established many industry standards since 1985. WTI was the wireless RF video and data links partner with ISS and Econolite Control Products, Inc. in the 1996 Georgia DOT Navigator Project that utilizes Autoscope® for traffic data collection and automated detection of critical traffic incidents.
