Image Sensing Systems Receives Autoscope Solo Orders in Hong Kong and Nanjing, China

Saint Paul, Minn., May 1, 2000 - Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (ISS) (Nasdaq SmallCap: ISNS) announced today that two orders for the supply of Autoscope Solo® wide area detection systems have been received by its Asia-based subsidiary, Flow Traffic Limited. Hong Kong and the Chinese city of Nanjing have decided to purchase Autoscope Solo for intersection control and the collection of traffic data.
Johan Billow, General Manager of Flow Traffic Limited, commented, “China has started to implement video image processing as an effective and reliable means for vehicle detection. Our Autoscope Solo has generated great interest in the region and we are confident that this product will win significant market share over the coming years.”
Flow Traffic is a supplier of a broad range of traffic management products and systems in Asia. The company, which has offices in Hong Kong, China and Thailand, was acquired by Image Sensing Systems, Inc. of St. Paul, Minnesota in April 1999.
