Saint Paul, Minn., April 28, 2000 - Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (ISS) (Nasdaq SmallCap: ISNS) announced today that Autoscope Solo® has been selected for use as the exclusive video vehicle detection system in the Expo 2000 World’s Fair in Hannover, Germany where several Autoscope Solo systems will be integrated into portable traffic monitoring and variable message sign stations to control the large volume of vehicular traffic. Autoscope Solo was selected in a competitive evaluation process against several other video detection systems by MOVE, the company responsible for all traffic management during the exposition, which opens on June 1, 2000 and continues for 153 days.
The contract was awarded to DataCollect GmbH & Company KG, the exclusive Autoscope distributor in Germany, and represents an initial sale of 9 Autoscope Solo units.
