Saint Paul, Minn., April 10, 2000 - Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (ISS) (Nasdaq SmallCap: ISNS) announced today that the Slovak Road Administration in Bratislava has issued a contract for a 61-camera Autoscope system for a tunnel management project in the Slovak Republic.
The contract was awarded to Elsig NP in Bratislava, the exclusive Autoscope distributor for Slovakia, in cooperation with Bredar AG of Switzerland. The Branisko Tunnel is located near the City of Presov, and will be equipped with a system of 33 Autoscope-2004 video vehicle detection units, processing images from 61 cameras. Autoscope will perform real-time vehicle detection, classification and traffic data collection over the entire length of the 6 Km Branisko Tunnel.
