ISS Software and Ex-122 exceeds performance requirements

ST. PAUL, MN (June 19, 2014) Image Sensing Systems, Inc. (ISS) (NASDAQ: ISNS) announced today that an independent test shows that the Autoscope Ex-122 and CitySync LPR engine exceeds the new NASP ANPR performance requirements. The UK National ANPR Standards for Policing (NASP) issued by The Home Office on behalf of ACPO, require fixed installation ANPR systems to achieve a capture rate of at least 98% of vehicle license plates passing the camera and a correct read rate of at least 95% of those captured plates.

Developed in partnership with CA Traffic Limited, the dual lane Autoscope Ex-122 intelligent camera, incorporating the Autoscope ANPR software and engine, has recently been the subject of independent testing against the NASP criteria. Tests were performed using a camera installed over a two-lane highway on two separate days with varying weather conditions. The results achieved were a capture rate of 98.74% and a correct read rate of 99.61%.

We believe this sets the standard for other ANPR camera suppliers to achieve, said Bernard Greene, Managing Director of CA Traffic Ltd. The fruits of our Technology Exchange Agreement with ISS are now clear for all to see. The synergy between our camera and the ISS software is compelling.

We are very pleased with the results of this independent test, said Nico Bekooy, Chief Development Officer of Image Sensing Systems, Inc. The combination of our world-renowned CitySync ANPR engine with the highest quality fixed camera provide our customers with the best ANPR solution available on the market today.

The Autoscope Ex-120 series is currently available for purchase worldwide. For more information, visit imagesensing.com.
