This position is located in the western United States.

Postion Purpose:

Work as a Sales Manager to supervise and assist distributers in an assigned territory in identifying and closing business for the RTMS and Trafficnow Bluetooth product lines within the territory of the Western United States. Work directly with Sales Engineering and help direct their activities when needed. 

Essential Position Functions:

  • Work with customers both onsite and remotely to ensure successful deployment of RTMS products, bid document analysis and recommendations
  • Promote and maintain positive relationships with customers both external and internal to ensure successful and profitable projects
  • Identify and pursue opportunities/ targets directly to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Performs active role in both webinars and on site client visits, including developing and delivering informative sales presentations based on customer needs
  • Responsible for ensuring that distributors are successful by aiding their training, development and performance
  • Diligent CRM Management – Maintain complete and accurate records of all customer and territory contacts, and opportunities
  • Report details of current progress monthly to include: Sales objectives, planned tactical developments, plus any known or foreseen problems
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and effectively communicate with all company employees, clients, and territory sales partners
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Builds and maintains relationships within the accounts and proactively source sales leads and opportunities to ensure revenue opportunities are maximized
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with monthly, quarterly, and yearly company sales targets and goals

Education and Experience/Skills Requirements:

  • 10+ Years of successful Sales and Technical experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated successful track record in sales performance and achievement of sales quotas and territory growth.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and ability to work independently in a physical and/or virtual team setting;
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office)

Desirable Skills/Attributes:

  • Experience within the Intelligent Transportation Systems business (ITS) and government selling
  • History of successful management of regional distributors of traffic/transportation products.
  • College degree, Technical degree or technical training certifications
  • Experience using Salesforce.com, or similar CRM
  • Training in consultative selling

Physical Demands:

  • Should be able to work comfortably in a typical office environment.
  • Must hold or obtain a valid passport and be able to travel to within North America on a regular basis.  Able to travel at least 30% of the time.
  • Some minor lifting may be required.
